Join SCI Sports at the superb Butlins Minehead resort in 2025 for a first class Junior netball weekend and experience. The SCI Sports netball event at Minehead attracts up to 65 junior netball teams & demand is sure to be high for places at this netball tournament in 2025. Up to 16 teams per age group attend this event each year.

The 2025 SCI Sports Netball Weekend at Minehead will be staged at the West Somerset Community College which is just a 10 minute walk from Butlins. Here there are 4 outdoor courts, as well as 1 indoor court for the festival for the weekend. The College also offers catering facilities, toilets, changing rooms & first aid.

Minehead is a beautiful seaside town in Somerset and is at the heart of Exmoor. Minehead is a quaint seaside town with plenty of shops & facilities & furthermore Butlins is just a stones throw away from the glorious beach.

Butlins Minehead is an all action resort with something quite simply for everyone. The resort offers a superb all round package featuring great accommodation, traditional fairground, Splash Waterworld, weatherproof Skyline Pavilion with plenty of entertainment, shops, bars and cafes to choose from. Not forgetting the Centre Stage and Reds venues showing a variety of entertainment. There is adventure playgrounds, adventure golf, archery, pottery, high ropes courses, zip wires plus tere is Hotshots Ten Pin Bowling Alley & American Pool too & more besides.

CELEBRITY PRESENTATION

Once the netball has finished on Sunday afternoon every player receives a medal for taking part in the festival. There are also winners and runners up trophies to be won in each age group in a cup and plate format, depending on the final number of teams entered in an age group for the weekend.
In 2024 we was joined by Team Bath Head Coach Asha Francis at Minehead & in 2023 we was delighted to welcome England Legend Eboni Usoro-Brown and another England Legend joined us at Minehead in 2022 - Pamela Cookey to award all the medals and trophies to every team and also talk to players and coaches from the teams in attendance. A superb way to round off a fabulous weekend of netball.

TRADITIONAL FAIRGROUND

Enjoy the thrills & spills of the traditional fairground at Butlins with The Dodgems, ParaTroopers, Carousel, Trampolines, Waveswinger Rockin' Tug, The Waltzer, Swing Boats & Helter Skelter – quite simply not a fun fair for the faint hearted. Furthermore all the rides are FREE!! Plus there are Go-Karts at a nominal charge.

SPLASH WATERWORLD

The Splash Waterworld at Minehead is so much fun that you won’t know where to start. Take a ride on The Master Blast Raft Ride or a trip down the Space Bowl Flume or the Blue Comet Flume, or a dip in a Bubble Pool, alternatively you take a slide down the flumes, play with the water cannons, or have fun with the Wave Machine, finally climb all the way to the top and slide down the Black Hole at full speed - exhilirating! Whatever you decide you can be sure of having hours of fun in the Splash Waterworld - & as per the FunFair it’s FREE!!

ENTERTAINMENT

There are Four stages at Minehead – the first is the Skyline Stage in the Skyline Pavillion where an array of daytime & evening shows can be seen. Then there is Centre Stage where you will see big evening music & dance shows, the new venue for 2022 was Studio 36 with shows & productions & finally there is Reds where live bands & some of the best tribute artists in the UK perform LIVE!! soon!!

BARS, CAFES & RESTAURANTS

Choose from a selection of places on resort at Minehead – these include Ludo's Italian, The Diner, Burger King, Costa Coffee, Scoop, Firehouse Grill, The Beachcomber Inn, Finnegans Fish & Chips, Bar Rosso, Inn on the Green & Phat Pastry.

ACCOMMODATION -

We have carefully selected three grades of accommodation for the weekends at Minehead, these are as follows:

COMFORT APARTMENTS - 4, 5, 6 BERTH

The Comfort apartments are either 2 or 3 bedrooms, complete with a bathroom with shower, a comfortable lounge with TV and fully fitted kitchen with microwave. All bed linen is provided for the weekend. Towels however are not included.

GOLD APARTMENTS - 4 BERTH ONLY

Gold apartments offer that little bit extra over the Comfort apartments with Early Check In available, Daily Housekeeping, Bed Linen & Towels Provided. Kitchen with Dishwasher & Microwave. 2 Bedrooms plus a bathroom with shower plus a comfortable Lounge with Widescreen TV in the Lounge, plus a small TV in the Master Bedroom.

SILVER ROOM ONLY 2 BERTH

Light and bright with pastel-coloured walls, Silver Rooms are brilliant for budget-conscious families who want a place to sleep and shower at the end of a busy day.

Bathroom with shower
All rooms come with a TV (located in the double bedroom) and free Essential WiFi. Towels and daily housekeeping are not included
Rooms are located on the ground and first floors

ALL TEAMS MUST BOOK THROUGH SCI SPORTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FESTIVAL. WRISTBAND FOR ENTRY TO SCI SPORTS EVENTS WILL ONLY BE ISSUED TO PERSONS BOOKED THROUGH SCI SPORTS.

ONLY PERSONS BOOKED THROUGH SCI SPORTS ARE ALLOWED ENTRY TO MINEHEAD COMMUNITY COLLEGE WHERE THE NETBALL COURTS ARE, AS THIS IS A PRIVATE EVENT AND FOR THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF ALL CHILDREN & TEAMS ONLY PERSONS BOOKED THROUGH SCI SPORTS WILL BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE VENUE AT MINEHEAD COMMUNITY COLLEGE OR ENTER THE COURTS.
